Introduction

The Asian Institute of Christian Communication (AICC-13) will take place at the Amari Rincome hotel in Chiangmai, Thailand from June 22 to July 12, 2008.

Since its inception in 1979, Asian Institute of Christian Communication (AICC) is designed to provide advanced training in communication for Christian leaders.

The curriculum in this three-week long Institute comprises insights from such disciplines as Cultural Anthropology, Survey Research, Communications Theory and Strategy, and Development issues and principles. These are integrated with Biblical and Theological perspectives on Christian Communication.

The overarching aim is to help participants identify problems and opportunities in their ministry, and to equip them with the necessary insights and skills to meet these challenges.

The AICC program is threefold:

An optional fourth week practicum at Voice of Peace studies can be arranged in topics such as radio, video, and television production.

Pre-institute assignments are to be completed prior to the residential part of the program. The Institute itself is intensive with several lectures each day, field trips, seminars, workshops, readings, papers, and tests. An appropriate field project completes the AICC learning system.
